Marshland Farms
The Lundgren Family; Cushing, WI
M arshland Farms has been part of the Cushing, Wisconsin community for generations. The Lundgrens first arrived in the early 1900s, turning what was once marshland into a thriving, family-run dairy rooted in tradition. At the Lundgrens’ farm, every calf, every barn, and every name tell a story, of heritage, hard work, and the belief that farming is not just a way of life, but a way to build a lasting, connected community.
Today, third-generation brothers Jim and Joel Lundgren, along with Jim’s son Ben, care for the land and their registered Holstein herd with pride and dedication. To them, cows aren’t just livestock, they’re part of the family. For decades, the Lundgrens have shared their passion for farming with neighbors and friends. Local kids have shown their cattle in competitions for more than 40 years, and every spring, the local school’s third graders visit the farm. Each class gets to name a newborn calf, a tradition that delights students, sparks curiosity, and inspires future farmers.
From their barn to your table, Marshland Farms pours generations of care into every drop of milk they send to Burnett Dairy Cooperative, values you can taste in every drop.
