The Roske Family; Northern WI

Sometimes one choice shapes generations. For Kevin Roske, that choice was answering a help-wanted ad for a 100-cow dairy in northern Wisconsin. Six years later, in 1991, he purchased Grazin Acres and, with his wife Julie, began building the Roske family farm.

Their son Nate grew up in the barn, learning how to care for cows and the land. Today, he farms alongside his dad, carrying forward the family’s focus on quality milk, sustainability, and community connection. Over time, the Roskes diversified—adding beef cattle, a wholesale meat business, and, in 2019, a poultry barn.

Now, Nate and his wife Elizabeth are raising the next generation—Makeena, Korbin, and Emmett—on the same land. Their 70 Holsteins, along with beef and poultry, provide milk for Burnett Dairy Cooperative’s award-winning cheese and ethically raised meat for local tables.

Through hard work and deep-rooted values, the Roskes remain dedicated to bringing wholesome food from their farm to your fork.
