Grantsburg, Wis. – Family Friendly Workplaces is happy to announce that Burnett Dairy has earned a gold-level certification as a Family Friendly Workplace, recognizing its commitment to supporting employees’ well-being and work-life balance.

“At Burnett Dairy, we know that work-life balance plays a big role in our employees’ well-being and long-term success,” said Alison Hoefs, CHRO of Burnett Dairy. “Some times of year and certain roles can be more demanding than others, and we don’t pretend that’s not the case. But this certification shows our real commitment to building a workplace where people feel supported—whether they’re on the floor, in the office, or at home. When our team is taken care of, everyone benefits.”

As part of its annual conduit contribution through Family Friendly Workplaces, Burnett Dairy selected two local nonprofits to receive donations: Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley and the Grantsburg Public Library. These organizations were chosen for their direct impact on families in the region—providing early childhood development resources, literacy programs, and community-centered support. The contributions reflect Burnett Dairy’s broader commitment to strengthening the communities where its employees live and work. CoBank generously matched Burnett Dairy’s contributions through its Sharing Success program, and together provided $5,000 to Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley and $2,000 to the Grantsburg Library.

The certification follows a thorough evaluation of Burnett Dairy’s workplace practices, including flexible scheduling where possible, access to a variety of paid leaves, a range of healthcare offerings, and various family-focused events and support initiatives that continue to evolve with employee needs. As a certified Family Friendly Workplace, Burnett Dairy can now use the certification logo to enhance its recruitment and retention efforts and gain access to additional program benefits.

Neil Kline, Executive Director of Family Friendly Workplaces, expressed appreciation for the collaboration. “We’re grateful for Burnett Dairy’s commitment to this initiative. Their leadership sets a strong example and helps pave the way for more organizations to adopt family-first policies and create workplaces that truly support the people who power them.”
