The Moulton Family; Rush City, MN

Nestled in Rush City, Minnesota, John Moulton Farm blends decades of family tradition with forward-thinking innovation. Grandson of founders Clyde and Norma Moulton, Craig grew up among the cows and fields, learning the values of hard work and stewardship that built the farm. Today, he and his wife Tiffany proudly carry that legacy forward together.

The Moultons milk 470 Holsteins in a free-stall barn equipped with eight Lely robotic milking systems, technology that lets cows be milked on their own schedule while tracking their health and production in real time. This approach supports cow comfort, reduces labor, and ensures consistent, high-quality
milk. Tiffany, raised on a hobby farm herself, brings both hands-on know-how and business expertise to the operation. She manages all calf care, giving each newborn the best possible start, and oversees the farm’s bookkeeping. She also serves on the board of Burnett Dairy Cooperative, helping shape the future of the industry beyond the farm gate.

From humble beginnings to a high-tech dairy operation, the Moulton family continues to combine innovation with tradition, ensuring their farm remains a strong and sustainable part of Wisconsin’s dairy future.
