The Kruschkes; New Richmond, WI

At Crisdhome Farm, fifth-generation farmer Jake Kruschke and his wife, Jade, are raising their two young sons on the same land his great-great-grandmother once farmed more than a century ago. While the equipment and barns have changed, the values remain the same: respect for the land, care for animals, and a dedication to producing wholesome milk.

Holsteins have been at the heart of Crisdhome for decades, and Jake takes pride in building “cow families”, hand-selecting each genetic match to produce cows that are strong, healthy, and a joy to work with. Every calf born on the farm is the result of careful planning and genuine passion for dairy farming.

The Kruschkes’ milk is shipped to Burnett Dairy Cooperative, where it’s crafted into farm-fresh cheese enjoyed across the region. For Jake, knowing that the milk from his cows ends up on family tables is both humbling and motivating. It’s a farm-to-fork connection built on generations of hard work, daily commitment, and the simple belief that each generation should leave the farm better than they found it.
